In a twist more dramatic than any fight night, boxing superstar Devin Haney has taken his ex-fiancée, Leena Sayed, to court—demanding she return hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of luxury gifts he claims were meant for their wedding that never happened.
Haney’s lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County last week, accuses Sayed of holding on to nearly $350,000 in lavish items—including Hermès handbags, an Audemars Piguet watch, diamond jewelry, and designer purses. The 25-year-old fighter argues that because the engagement was called off, California law requires the items to be returned. He’s now seeking over $500,000 in damages.
The shocking case marks Haney’s second lawsuit against Sayed in just a month. Earlier, he accused her of extortion and defamation. The legal battles come on the heels of Sayed securing a temporary domestic violence restraining order against him two months ago—fueling speculation of a bitter and escalating feud.
Sayed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, blasted the new filing, calling it “an extension of his campaign to punish her” for the restraining order. “He needs to get real,” Kaplan said.
Haney and Sayed, who share a daughter, Khrome, born in January, had been together for about two years before their split devolved into courtroom drama.
