Cardi B WINS civil assault trial after epic MELTDOWN outside court during pregnancy

Cardi B has been cleared of assault after she was sued for $24million over an alleged 2018 altercation.

The 32-year-old rapper was all smiles as she exited the courthouse in Los Angeles on Tuesday after a unanimous jury determined she had not assaulted a female security guard at an obstetrician’s office.

The hitmaker, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, landed in legal trouble after the security guard, Emani Ellis, reportedly followed and recorded her at the doctor’s office.

Cardi was accused of assaulting, striking and spitting on Ellis, as well as slicing her face with her long fingernail. The security guard sued the rap star in 2020.

The hitmaker admits to calling security guard a ‘b***h’ but denies slicing her face as she takes the stand in civil assault trial.

There didn’t appear to be much confusion among the members of the jury — which was equally split with six men and six women — as they only deliberated for about an hour before announcing their verdict, according to Rolling Stone

They reportedly began deliberating around 2:15 p.m. PT, before sharing via a note that they had reached a verdict at 3:15.

Notably, it would have only required nine members of the jury to vote in Cardi’s favor, though all 12 were swayed.

While speaking to reporters after the verdict was announced, Cardi said it had been ‘really tough’ to have attend to the case even as she was trying to promote her upcoming album Am I the Drama?, which will be released on September 19.
