R. Kelly Seeks Emergency Prison Release, Citing Alleged Aryan Brotherhood Murder Plot

Disgraced R&B singer R. Kelly is seeking immediate release from prison, claiming his life is in imminent danger due to an alleged murder-for-hire plot involving members of the Aryan Brotherhood and prison officials.

According to newly filed court documents obtained by TMZ, Kelly’s legal team submitted an emergency motion arguing that credible threats to his life have surfaced inside the North Carolina federal prison where he is serving a 30-year sentence for sex trafficking and abuse convictions.

At the center of the claim is a sworn statement from Mikeal Glenn Stine, a terminally ill inmate and alleged leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. Stine alleges that prison officials approached him with an offer of freedom in exchange for assassinating Kelly. The supposed plan included transferring Stine to another facility and staging a cover-up of the murder to make it appear accidental.

Stine claims he initially agreed but later changed his mind and personally warned Kelly of the plot in March. He has since come forward to expose the scheme and says he is willing to take a polygraph test and testify under oath.

Kelly’s legal team says that after Stine’s refusal to carry out the plan, another Aryan Brotherhood member was assigned the task—and that both Kelly and Stine are now targets. The documents also suggest the prison currently houses several gang affiliates who could attempt to carry out the hit at any time.

In a separate petition, Kelly has also appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, requesting a review of his case. His lawyers argue that home confinement would offer greater protection and allow him to continue working on music projects.

Given the serious nature of the allegations, Kelly’s attorneys emphasize the urgency of removing him from the facility, stating that the threat to his life is “real and imminent.”

So far, prison officials have not publicly responded to the claims.
