NBA Star Dillon Brooks Files Restraining Order Against Ex Amid Allegations Of Harassment And Threats

NBA player Dillon Brooks has filed for a restraining order against his former partner, Heather Andrews, citing years of escalating harassment, property damage, and threats. According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, Brooks submitted the request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) in Los Angeles on Wednesday, June 25.

The 28-year-old forward, recently traded from the Houston Rockets to the Phoenix Suns as part of a high-profile deal involving Kevin Durant, alleges that Andrews has been engaged in a pattern of abusive behavior dating back to the early stages of their relationship.

Brooks and Andrews share two children, ages five and two. In the filing, Brooks stated that the two met in 2018 at a nightclub in Las Vegas and began dating shortly after. He claimed that the harassment began shortly after Andrews became pregnant with their first child.

Brooks accused Andrews of sending him “emotionally abusive” messages, leaking private conversations to the media, destroying personal property, and making violent threats — including threats to his career and family. He cited a particularly disturbing message allegedly sent by Andrews: “I’ll habe [sic] someone cut each one of your f*ing little fingers off one by one… So you can never play basketball LOL… And actually now I understand why people are racist.”**

Another message allegedly read: “I am going to have you hurt.”

Brooks also claimed Andrews threatened his mother, quoting her as saying, “I’ll send someone after your mom to [sic] bitch.”

In 2022, during his tenure with the Memphis Grizzlies, Brooks alleged that Andrews vandalized his home by scrawling messages like “You Suck Bitch” across his outdoor fireplace.

Most recently, Brooks accused Andrews of hacking into his OurFamilyWizard account — a co-parenting communication platform — and sending herself a threatening message while impersonating him, in what he believes was an attempt to frame him.

The court filing comes in the wake of Andrews’ own legal action last year, in which she obtained a temporary restraining order against Brooks, also citing harassment and threats.

A court hearing to address both restraining order claims is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles later next month.
