Update: Virginia Giuffre’s Family Releases Emotional Final Letter Following Her Death At 41

The family of Virginia Giuffre, a prominent advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and one of the most vocal accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, has released a poignant handwritten letter in the wake of her death.

Giuffre, 41, was found deceased at her home in Western Australia, in what authorities have described as a non-suspicious death.

Giuffre, who previously settled a high-profile civil lawsuit with Prince Andrew over allegations of sexual assault—which he has denied—was discovered unresponsive at her property in the Perth suburb of Neergabby on the evening of Friday, April 25.

“Police and St John Western Australia attended and provided emergency first aid,” a police spokeswoman said. “Sadly, the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene. The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indications are that it is not suspicious.”

Her family has shared a handwritten letter believed to be her final message.

In it, Giuffre wrote: “Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, and Brothers need to show the battle lines are drawn, and stand together to fight for the future of victims. Is protesting the answer? I don’t know. But we’ve got to start somewhere.”

The letter was shared publicly by her sister-in-law, Amanda Roberts, who vowed to carry on Giuffre’s legacy.

In a heartfelt tribute, Roberts wrote: “Hello world. We found a handwritten note that our sister Virginia wrote. I think it’s important that survivors know she’s with you and her voice will not be silenced. Her wish was that we continue to fight. I hope you’re dancing, my beautiful sister. We miss you with all our heart and soul. Rest now, angel. We will carry your legacy.”

Her brother, Danny Wilson, also posted a photograph of the two together from happier times, further highlighting the family’s deep grief and commitment to her cause.

In a formal statement, Giuffre’s family described her as “a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse” and noted that the emotional toll of her experiences had become too great to bear.

Virginia Giuffre was widely recognized for her role in exposing the trafficking network operated by Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

She alleged that, beginning at age 17, she was trafficked to powerful men, including Prince Andrew—a claim he has consistently denied. Her advocacy brought global attention to the issue of sex trafficking and helped spark a broader reckoning with abuse among the wealthy and powerful.

Giuffre had been living in Australia for several years and remained committed to supporting other survivors until her passing.
