Four Years After Divorce, Princess Anne Shares Warm Moment With Former Daughter-In-Law Autumn Phillips
Princess Anne was spotted enjoying the company of her former daughter-in-law Autumn Phillips over the weekend, highlighting their enduring bond nearly four years after Autumn’s divorce from Peter Phillips.
The reunion took place at the Cirencester Park Horse Trials on Sunday, where Zara Tindall, Anne’s daughter, was competing. Autumn, 46, was there to show her support, joining Princess Anne and Zara’s close-knit team of friends and grooms as they followed the event.
Autumn, who split from Peter Phillips in late 2019 after 12 years of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2021, has continued living in Gloucestershire to co-parent their two daughters, Savannah, 14, and Isla, 13.
Dressed casually in a denim jacket and an orange-patterned skirt, Autumn appeared relaxed and at ease as she chatted with her former mother-in-law, Princess Anne, and mingled with others in Zara’s support group.

“It was just nice and relaxed,” royal photographer James Whatling said. “Autumn was there, which was lovely to see. She’s clearly still considered part of the family—she was chatting with Anne and everyone else, very much included.”
“She hasn’t been sidelined at all,” he added. “It was a great little support team for Zara, and they were all moving together from dressage to showjumping. They’re a close unit and know each other well.”
Since their separation, both Peter and Autumn have moved on personally—Peter is now in a relationship with NHS nurse Harriet Sperling, while Autumn is dating property developer Donal Mulryan.
