Huge INFERNO breaks out at 'chemical factory' in Wales with one man rushed to hospital

Emergency services are fighting a fire after fireball explosion happened at a chemical factory leaving one man injured amid other chaos.

What Factory Exploded in Wales?

Firefighters from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire at the production area of the Synthite factory on on Denbigh Road, Mold, Flintshire at 2.06pm Tuesday.

The service said: ‘We were called at 14.06 to a fire at a factory on Denbigh Road, Mold and are in attendance tackling reports of a fire in the production area.

Safety Precautions

‘Local residents are being asked to close windows and doors and avoid the area due to smoke and as a precautionary measure.’

Efforts So Far

Police has since evacuated about 20 workers and contractors from the area.

The man who is injured has been taken to hospital, per BBC.

Mold town councillor Dr Megan Lloyd Hughes said: ‘Police, fire and emergency services remain on scene following multiple explosions and a subsequent fire at the Synthite plant. We are aware a critical emergency, whilst ongoing, has been stabilised.’

She later added: ‘I want to thank the incredible emergency services, whose actions today have no doubt saved lives.’
