The Secondary Hint We Overlooked Regarding Meghan Markle's Lifestyle Brand

In March, the Duchess of Sussex launched the website for her upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, sparking anticipation among fans for its full reveal.

Subtle clues have been dropped hinting at what to expect from Meghan’s new venture, including a whimsical video featuring the Duchess arranging flowers and baking.

Meghan, aged 42, has also been gifting baskets to some of her closest friends, such as fellow Suits alum Abigail Spencer, actor and writer Mindy Kaling, fashion designer Tracy Robbins, and Argentine socialite Delfina Blaquier.

These packages, containing homemade strawberry jam, lemons, and flowers, may offer insight into the potential offerings of American Riviera Orchard upon its launch.

All the gifts were presented in elegant stone-colored ceramic pedestal fruit bowls. Trademark applications for American Riviera Orchard cover various items, from tableware, cutlery, and dinnerware to decanters, napkins, and tablecloths, as well as an array of food items including jams, jellies, spreads, and butters.

It wouldn’t be surprising if fans could soon acquire the same stylish homeware. Additionally, a trademark application extension, as reported by MailOnline, includes cosmetic and beauty products such as scented oils, soaps, and haircare items.

Meghan’s latest endeavor has drawn parallels to the evolution of her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, which was heralded as “a hub for the discerning palate – catering to those with a keen interest in food, travel, fashion, and beauty.” The former actress initially launched the site in 2014, offering a blend of travel insights, style tips, culinary inspirations, and interviews with prominent figures.

However, just a few months before her engagement to Prince Harry in November 2017, Meghan opted to shutter her website. Following suit, in early 2018, she deactivated all her public social media profiles in anticipation of joining the royal family.

Since stepping back as senior royals in 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been forging their new path in the US, which includes securing commercial deals with Netflix, Spotify, and book contracts. While Meghan herself has not returned to Instagram, she has launched a business page for American Riviera Orchard.

The inaugural nine posts on the account solely showcase a mosaic of the brand’s logo, elegantly stylized with golden script, confirming the business’s base in Montecito. The brand’s moniker pays homage to the Sussexes’ life in the US, as Montecito, situated in Santa Barbara, is often referred to as the ‘American Riviera’.
