A doctor in Washington state has been charged with the rape of an underage female family member, which prosecutors reveal it has been going on for more than six years.

Details of the Case

Vulihn Ta, 51, has raped his female victim more than 15 times in a hot tub and more than 20 times since 2019, since when she was 11 years old or younger.

The female family member who is still underage, told police that Ta would purchase her new video games to buy her silence.

She Has Evidences

She showed authorities a list of six receipts for video games bought in 2022 – all with Ta’s billing address listed – and told them those were days when gynecologist raped her.

The sexual abuse which spanned from years of 2017 and 2024, with the most recent sexual assault happening in early April, Fox 13 Seattle reported.

It all started when Ta got a habit of following the victim after she took showers. From there, it escalate once the home had a hot tub installed, according to court documents.

How Ta Forced Her

Legal documents online show that Ta’s wife, who he lived with, filed for a Civil Protection Order on April 15 in Kitsap County Superior Court.

She then filed for a divorce on April 19, records show.

As of Sunday, Ta is in custody at the Kitsap County Jail. He’s pleaded not guilty and his trial has been tentatively set for May 28.

Ta faces up to life in prison and $80,000 in fines if he is convicted.
