Salon owner and doctor ARRESTED over the death of woman with heart defect who died during £6,000 boob job

The owner of an aesthetics clinic in Majorca has been arrested over the death of a British woman during a £6,000 boob job in September last year.

Officers arrested the owner/managing director today, outside the private clinic in Palma.

Charges Against Them

The doctor who carried out the operation on the woman was also taken in by cops, and is accused of homicide due to serious recklessness, Ultima Hora reports..

The double arrest took place after the British woman died just hours after suffering ‘a series of complications’ during the breast operation in mid-September.

There Was a Third Person

A third surgeon who was also allegedly involved and escaped and fled to Switzerland as soon as the unnamed British woman had died.

However, Europol later reported to the National Police that the surgeon himself had died as a result of a terminal illness before he could be captured.

As it is

The Homicide Group have since released the manager of the clinic from the Palma Penitentiary Centre where he is serving another sentence for medical negligence and fraud, in order to file new charges, it has been reported.

Investigators found that she had a heart defect, resulting in 25 per cent of the organ not functioning correctly, according to reports.

Officials believe that the surgeons had first-hand knowledge (or at least should know) of her condition before operating on her. Meanwhile, the investigation is ruled that failure to perform the necessary preoperative procedures ultimately led to her sudden death.

The Brit had travelled to the Spanish island from the UK before she died in Son Espases Hospital, Palma, following the surgical complications.

The surgeon who operated on her has still not been named, but reports described him as a long-established professional ‘who has spent decades working in Palma and other European countries’ at the time of the woman’s death.
